Hendrik de Groot is a practice advisor with our firm as from August 2007. He was a main lecturer private law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Amsterdam until September 2004. He is also a practice advisor in the Netherlands with several law firms, notary offices and tax advisors. He is a frequent lecturer at courses and post academic education for schools, universities or practicing jurists, such as notaries and attorneys. He has lectured on a regular basis outside of the Netherlands (Suriname, the United States of America and (previously) Czechoslovakia and also Ethiopia). In the 1990s, together with some colleagues, he assisted Russian government officials with the drafting of new corporate legislation. He was a member of the Central Undertaking Council (Centrale Ondernemingsraad) of the University of Amsterdam for many years. He was also chairman of a medium large housing cooperation.
