Michael Bonapart studied at the University of Amsterdam. Soon after his graduation in 1984 he was employed by (then) Winkel Knoppel and Soliana and has been with our firm ever since. He experienced the expansion of the firm to Sint Maarten, Bonaire and Aruba. He has ample experience in law and litigation practice.

From 1996 to 1998 he was the Vice-Dean of the Curaçao Bar Association.

He witnessed the initial stages of the liberalization of the telecommunication market and the fall of the market protection regulation for products that are produced locally. He was acting counsel in the court case that ultimately resulted in the drafting of legislation on the equalization of men and women and also married and unmarried women.

He is a frequent lecturer for the Vocational Education for Attorneys program and the Legal Assistant program.
