Karyl Bertrand joined our firm in December 1999. As a student she was a collaborator at the legal aid office Tienda di Lei of the University of the Netherlands Antilles (UNA). She has served as an external mentor for UNA students that have chosen to write their thesis on intellectual property. Besides counseling and litigating, she is also a trademark attorney, where she assists clients with among other things filing trademarks, assignments and renewals of trademarks. Karyl Bertrand is also a speaker at lectures and workshops on the subject of contracts and intellectual property.

She has published the following articles:
