Thomas Aardenburg (1965) graduated in 1991 from the University of Amsterdam in tax law. After working as an attorney at the Rotterdam office of Nauta Dutilh (sections tax law and corporate law), he joined our firm as an attorney in 1996. In 2000 Thomas Aardenburg returned to the Netherlands and was as an attorney with the firm of Ploum Lodder Princen in Rotterdam (section corporate law). Afterwards he worked as a legal advisor with the trust office Amicorp in Amsterdam and also practiced as an independent attorney in Amsterdam under the name Eichhorn & Aardenburg. In 2004 he returned to Curaçao as a partner with Soliana Bonapart & Partnes, now Soliana Bonapart & Aardenburg.

Thomas Aardenburg specializes in corporate law. His practice consists of among other things company law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructuring, share holder disputes, corporate litigation, liabilities of directors, corporate governance and providing legal opinions. As an attorney he is also involved in (international) financing, banking- and finance activities, creation of hedge funds, structures for estate planning and other financial offshore related legal work and activities. He regularly assists investors that are (wish to be) active in the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba or Surinam. He also advises and litigates in cases pertaining to Dutch Antillean telecommunication law.
